MWBC Prayer Net-Stevens

Prayer Net
Minnesota Wisconsin Baptist Convention

Les Stevens, pastor, Viola Bible Church, Viola, MN and previous president of MN-WI Baptist Convention writes:

On Tuesday evening I took Gayla to the emergency room as she was not feeling well. It was determined she had a mild heart attack, there is no blockage of the arteries, and she has an MRI scheduled today to determine the cause.

Right now, we are doing very well. There is not much help we need at the moment, other than the prayers. I am not sure when she will be released from the hospital. The doctor said she might come home tonight, but more likely it will be tomorrow.

You have no idea how much it means to me to have the support that we have from so many! Thanks for your prayers and your love for us.

*Update - Jan. 7th from Les Stevens

I wanted to give you an update on Gayla.

The doctors said the MRI verified the heart attack. There is a very small area on the front of the heart that is damaged. They are mystified about her heart attack, because they can't find a reason for her having it.

With her heart pumping perfectly normally, and she is feeling well, they sent her home at 4:00 this afternoon. Of course, they gave us strict instructions on changing our (yes, "our") lifestyle.

I believe that the reason they couldn't find what caused the heart attack is because God fixed her before the doctors could run all these tests. I give Him the praise and the glory for healing Gayla!

We appreciate your prayers and the many emails of encouragement. We love you all greatly and are very glad God brought each and every one of you into our lives.
