BABY JESUS PARTY THANK-YOU!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to THANK all the volunteers that took charge and helped plan and host the 1st annual "BABY JESUS BIRTHDAY PARTY" on Dec. 21st. This was a wonderful time and spiritual bonding for our children @ River. We are sorry if you missed this opportunity. We do plan to have the same people plan this event next year on about the same Sunday. So mark your NEW 2009 calendar early!lol. We had about 15 kids this year. We heard Mary read " The very first Christmas" by an heirloom nativity set. The children then played "tape the baby in the manger" with Dawn Jahn and Kay Defour. Two children won and recieved a gift. Amber Jacobs helped them glue a nativity picture together as a take-home craft and then we had a Birthday cake and some sausage and crackers & fellowship time. ALL got a party favor bag to take home and I've been told they enjoyed it and want to do this again next year. Special thanx to Dawn and Amber and Kay for pulling this together!
