Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Dear Coworkers, Friends and Family,

This year, hundreds of thousands of people will hear the words,
"You have breast cancer," and there's a good chance
that some of them will be people we know and love. I have chosen to
fight back against this disease and help make a difference by
participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against
Breast Cancer walk, and I hope you will join me.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is our opportunity to honor and
celebrate breast cancer survivors, educate men and women about early
detection and prevention, and raise money to fund lifesaving research and
support programs to help fight breast cancer. But Making Strides is
more than just the name of a walk, it describes the amazing progress
we can make if we work together to defeat this disease.

I understand the hard economic times everyone is in. Even if everyone
donates just $5, that can makes millions of dollars difference.
Below is a link to my personal page. I hope you will visit my
site and sign up to join my team. If you prefer, you can start your
own team, sign up to walk as an individual, or make a donation. Hope
starts with me and it can continue with you. Please join my team and
walk with us to experience an incredible day of inspiration and
meaning, and to provide hope for all people facing breast
cancer.

To donate now, use this link to visit my personal page

Sincerely,

Linda

I just talked to Jenn and she is in a lot of pain. She has asked for continued prayer as she recovers. Tomorrow she is on her own and will be the true test of endurance and strength as Jarrod goes back to work.
I told her that I am around tomorrow if she needs anything but thinks she will be okay.
Thanks-

Cystic fibrosis awareness

I am doing a fundraiser for the Great Strides Walk(Cystic Fibrosis Foundation) I am walking with my daughter and her family because my granddaughter has Cystic Fibrosis. If you can help us raise money for this terriable disease. CF does not have a cure. Only treatments to slow down the process, so they can live longer. It doesn't have goverment funding so with-out US giving money to reasearch new treatments there would be no THEM. Cystic Fibrosis affects the lungs and the digestive system. 30,000 americans have this disease. for more information on my walk and CF. go to http://www.cff.org/Great_Strides/SharmaraMoll. you can go there and donate, or make a check out to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Thank you for your time.

Jenn's Surgery

...
Hey all,

Update on Jenn. She saw her surgeon on Wednesday morning. Her Gallbladder is only functioning at 10%, so out it must go. The surgeon told her that she has Gallbladder Disease. Jenn relayed to me that it has been a painful few days. Next Monday, the 20th, she is going to have her Gallbladder removed. If all goes well she will be able to go home the same day.

It would be really helpful to her and her family if some meals could be provided. Jenn will be at church Sunday, but if she isn't able to be Linda V and I will deliver them to her home. Meals will need to feed her family of 5 and she said they aren't picky.

I pray that this week passes quickly for her and that the pain is controllable. Her and her family have had a very rough winter with a lot of sickness, and most recently the flu has stricken family members. I pray that the surgery goes well and Jenn has an easy recuperation.

Call me at 617-4752 with any questions or email me at marchofemily@yahoo.com

In His name,
Tara

We want your feedback!!

Thank you for letting your children be a part of the Easter Play!  I think the kids had a great time being able to perform for God and their families.  We would like to offer more opportunities like this for the kids in the future and would appreciate your feedback on how we can improve on this year’s preparation, planning and performance.  Please provide feedback as it pertains to YOUR experience/involvement with the Easter Play.  Please consider the whole picture from casting, practices, content of the play, scheduling, communication, the performance, and anything else you can think of that would be helpful for us to consider in regards to future performances...

We are passionate about continuously improving the River Children’s Ministry Program and we need your honest and specific feedback in order for us to grow and learn.  These will be completely ANONYMOUS, so please provide both positive and constructive feedback.

We will also have copies for you at church.  You can turn it in at church or email i to NikkiZ@PortageChurch.org

Thank you for taking your valuable time to improve our River Children’s Ministry!

Looking for a place to serve at River?

Check out the River Children's Ministry-we offer an awesome program each Sunday during the sermon and we could use your help!  We could use teachers and helpers in any of these age groups:  Pre-school, Kind-1st grade, 2nd-5th grade.  If teaching isn't for you we could always use your help holding and playing with the babies.  Volunteers are usually with the kids once every 4-6 weeks.  If you are interested contact Nikki Zajicek at NikkiZ@portagechurch.org or 617-9772.  Thanks!

Child Care for Isaiah's Services

I will be providing (free) child care for Baby Isaiah's services this Saturday morning from 9-12:30. I am located at 712 W. Wisconsin St. in Portage. It is about 5 blocks from ROL.

Please call me at 617-4752 or email me at marchofemily@yahoo.com if you will be bringing your children so that I can plan accordingly. I will have my sister here to assist me.

I feel that this is the best way that I can serve Isaiah's family, so that others may go and support them during this time of great need.

Children will have a snack and lunch if needed.
Children will be free to play in the playroom, do coloring/playdough activities or watch some PBS type shows. Most of all just have fun and enjoy their Saturday morning.

In His Name,
Tara
